Barcelona Youth Talent Called Up to Training by Hansi Flick Before Rayo Vallecano
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick extended an opportunity to a promising young defender from the club's setup on Saturday.
The player in question is Patrício Pacífico.
Pacífico, a 19-year-old defender who primarily plays as a left-back, arrived at Barcelona during the winter transfer window.
He joined on loan from Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting, with an understanding that the deal includes an option for a permanent transfer in the summer.
Indications from Catalunya's capital suggest that Pacífico is making a significant positive impression with his performances at reserve level.
This comes amidst confirmation that the South American player was called up to first-team training by Hansi Flick at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning.
It now remains to be seen whether this opportunity will lead to a place in Barcelona’s squad for their upcoming match against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
