Bernardo Silva Quickly Gains José Mourinho's Trust at Real Madrid

A recent addition to Real Madrid's summer acquisitions has already made a strong impression on new manager José Mourinho during his initial weeks with the club, securing the manager's confidence.

According to a report from The Athletic, the player in question is Bernardo Silva.

The midfielder, Bernardo, officially signed with the Spanish giants earlier this summer. After his contract with Manchester City concluded, the Portuguese international reportedly rejected offers from several competing clubs to commit to the new venture at Real Madrid.

Having returned from his World Cup commitments with his national team, the 32-year-old has been focused on acclimatizing to his new environment at Valdebebas over the past few weeks.

If the latest media reports are accurate, Bernardo seems to be succeeding remarkably well in this adaptation. As stated in a report from The Athletic:

"A few players have already earned Mourinho's trust, and Bernardo is one of them."

English Translation:

A summer signing for Real Madrid has already "earned José Mourinho's trust."

A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Real Madrid has done enough during his early weeks at the club to secure the trust of new manager José Mourinho.

That’s according to The Athletic, who highlight Bernardo Silva as the player in question.

Midfielder Bernardo, of course, put pen to paper on terms in Spain’s capital earlier this summer. Following the expiration of his Manchester City contract, the Portuguese turned down approaches from a number of rival suitors to commit to the new project at Real Madrid.

After returning from international duty at the World Cup, the 32-year-old has since spent the last couple of weeks working to adapt to his new surroundings at Valdebebas.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, Bernardo appears to be doing a fine job of as much thus far… As per a report from The Athletic:

‘There are a few players who have already earned Mourinho’s trust — and Bernardo is one of them.’
