Former La Liga Rivals Clash in MLS: De Paul's Strong Words to Lewandowski
Two prominent former La Liga players found themselves in a tense confrontation during a recent Major League Soccer match between the Chicago Fire and Inter Miami.
The players involved were Robert Lewandowski and Rodrigo De Paul.
Both the striker Lewandowski and midfielder De Paul started the game on Thursday. The Chicago Fire and Inter Miami faced each other in a league fixture.
Lewandowski managed to score the opening goal. Later, a corner kick from Lionel Messi was headed in by Casemiro, ultimately leading to a 1-1 draw.
However, the most notable incident was the heated exchange between Lewandowski and De Paul, who previously competed against each other when Lewandowski was at Barcelona and De Paul was at Atlético Madrid.
During a disagreement over a referee's decision, De Paul's sharp retort to the renowned goalscorer 'Lewa' was captured. He reportedly said:
"Who are you? I've won two Copa Américas and a World Cup. And you?"
