How Trent Alexander-Arnold responded to Real Madrid punishment
Online reports have shed light on how Trent Alexander-Arnold, a player associated with Real Madrid, reacted to a strict disciplinary measure imposed by coach Álvaro Arbeloa. This followed a mixed performance by the Englishman in Sunday's Madrid Derby.
Real Madrid recently secured a 3-2 victory over city rivals Atlético, keeping their La Liga title hopes alive. In this encounter, Alexander-Arnold, previously a Liverpool player, played a crucial role by providing the assist for the winning goal. However, he started the match on the bench at the Bernabéu, with Dani Carvajal taking his place in the starting lineup.
It was later revealed that this decision was a consequence of his late arrival to Saturday's training session. Now that the dust has settled, new details have emerged regarding Alexander-Arnold's response to the situation.
According to sources, Arbeloa himself informed the right-back of his decision. Alexander-Arnold calmly accepted it and apologized to his coach, team captain Dani Carvajal, and all his teammates. A training ground source described his conduct as "gentlemanly."
