Kylian Mbappé Misses France Training Due to Illness

September 23, 2026Pablo Navarro1 мин

Kylian Mbappé, the star forward for Real Madrid and captain of the France national team, did not participate in group training on Tuesday morning. He is currently experiencing a flu-like illness.

Mbappé was expected to be part of the French squad for the current international break. Following the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as head coach, the 27-year-old was set to continue as captain and a key attacker for the team.

However, Mbappé was absent when Zidane led his players for his first training session as France's manager on Tuesday. Journalist Ilies Peeters confirmed that Mbappé was affected by a flu-like syndrome and did not join the team's training session that day.

The issue is not considered serious. Real Madrid's top scorer is expected to return to full training before the week ends.
