Premier League Star Awaits Barcelona Move
Tottenham Hotspur's Argentinian defender, Cristian Romero, is reportedly delaying a final decision on his future, with his sights set on a move to Hansi Flick's Barcelona.
Romero is widely expected to depart Spurs this summer, having decided to move on. The North London club has reportedly set a price tag of around €40 million for the defender.
Several clubs have expressed interest in signing Romero, including Inter Milan and Arsenal. However, Diego Simeone's Atlético Madrid are currently considered the frontrunners to secure a deal.
Despite this, the 28-year-old player remains focused on a move to one of Spain's top clubs.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Argentinian international centre-back is holding off on making a final decision, awaiting potential moves from FC Barcelona, especially following Ronald Araujo's speculated departure to Liverpool.
Barcelona, however, does not currently view Romero's signing as a priority, with their focus being on acquiring Rodri and a new centre-forward.
Nevertheless, Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, is a significant admirer of Romero and has held discussions with the defender's representatives.
