Barcelona winger Raphinha achieved a notable feat in Spanish football history on Saturday evening during his team's latest La Liga match.

The team, under Hansi Flick, was playing Sevilla in a league fixture. Barcelona aimed for their seventh consecutive win to start their title defense but conceded an early goal to Youssouf Fofana, putting Sevilla ahead.

The lead didn't last long. Raphinha, continuing his strong start to the season, broke past the Sevilla defense and scored, finding the far corner with flair.

This goal placed the Brazilian in an exclusive category. According to statisticians Opta, Raphinha is now the third player in the 21st century to score 10 goals within his team's first seven matches of a La Liga season.

He follows in the footsteps of Lionel Messi, who achieved this in the 2011/12 (10 goals) and 2017/18 (11 goals) seasons, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 13 goals in the 2014/15 season.
