Vinicius Jr. Credits Florentino Pérez's "Two Goals" Advice for Madrid Derby Masterclass
Real Madrid's star forward, Vinicius Jr., disclosed that his standout performance in Sunday's Madrid Derby was a direct result of heeding the words of club president Florentino Pérez.
This revelation follows his match-winning display, where the Brazilian played a pivotal role.
The encounter saw Real Madrid return to action, hosting Diego Simeone's Atlético at the Bernabéu for a crucial La Liga fixture.
During their eventual 3-2 victory, Vinicius proved instrumental, delivering a stellar performance precisely when his team required it.
The 25-year-old winger leveled the score from the penalty spot early in the second half. He then secured the decisive winning goal with a superb strike from the edge of the box in the final 20 minutes of the game.
Post-match, when addressing the media, the talented attacker was asked about the inspiration behind his Man of the Match efforts.
Vinicius subsequently explained, "President Florentino Pérez consistently encourages me to score two goals... So, that's exactly what I accomplished today!"
