Manchester City is confronting a significant challenge, akin to a crucial match, despite the international break sidelining the team. Club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has communicated directly with supporters through a letter, addressing the recent media reports detailing the Premier League's impending verdict. These reports suggest City is found guilty of 114 out of 115 alleged violations of financial regulations between 2009 and 2018.

Al Mubarak's Statement

Al Mubarak, who has been part of the club for 18 years, shared his perspective: "I have had the privilege of being with you at the Etihad, at Wembley, and in Istanbul. This club means a lot to me, and you have shown me how much it means to you. That is why I am writing to you today. After the media reports yesterday, many of you will have spent the evening answering questions and messages from friends, family, and colleagues. I told my family that the Premier League's process still has a long way to go, and our belief and our intention to prove the club's innocence are as strong as they have been from the very beginning of this situation."

Club's Defense

The chairman emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and expressed confidence in the legal team's ability to establish the club's innocence against accusations of repeated financial rule breaches. "There is so much I wish I could share with you to help you understand why we feel so confident," Al Mubarak continued. "However, the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our commitment to respecting it does not allow me to do so at this moment. Even this letter has undergone various legal checks to ensure everything remains within limits. Yesterday, some people immediately drew their conclusions; there are many rumors surrounding us, but nothing has changed. We have faced challenges like this together before and prevailed. There are many people who want to stop our club, but we will not give them that opportunity. Exciting times lie ahead after this international break. We will be at Anfield in 15 days, then we host PSG in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium. These will be moments that give us the opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the Manchester City family."
