Freiburg stumbled in Frankfurt after winning their first three league matches, now sharing the top spot with Bayern Munich, who routed Union Berlin. Freiburg secured a 2-2 draw against Eintracht, with Suzuki scoring early in the second half to equalize. In a dramatic turn at Bremen, Augsburg took a 2-0 lead with goals from Fellhauer and Brackelmann but were overcome by Werder. Fullkrug, formerly of AC Milan, snatched a late equalizer, and Weiser scored the winner for Werder in the 93rd minute. Hamburg finally secured their first win of the season, beating Koln 2-1 with goals from Capaldo and Poulsen. Moenchengladbach, however, remains winless following Polanski's dismissal; Mainz took advantage, winning 4-3 at Borussia-Park with late goals from Martel and Da Costa. Borussia Dortmund remains the only team with a perfect record in the Bundesliga after four games. The Black and Yellows, now two points ahead of Bayern and Freiburg, won 1-0 at Stuttgart thanks to Beier's 70th-minute goal. Italian players Inacio (called up by Mancini) and Reggiani (on Baldini's U21 list) were on the bench.

La Liga Matches

Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano drew 1-1 in their seventh La Liga fixture. Osasuna took the lead in the 16th minute through Budimir, a former Crotone and Sampdoria player, while Camello equalized for the visitors in the 51st minute. Both teams now have 7 points. Celta Vigo bounced back from their Europa League loss to Omonia in Cyprus, securing their first league win after three draws by defeating Racing Santander 5-0. Hugo Gonzalez opened the scoring from the penalty spot at Balaidos, Moriba doubled the lead, and Roman and Duran (twice) added goals in the second half. The Basque derby between Athletic Bilbao and Alaves ended goalless at San Mames. Athletic will regret missed opportunities, particularly Sancet’s penalty saved by Sivera in the 70th minute. Barcelona continued their winning streak, achieving seven wins out of seven in the league. Raphinha's hat-trick secured an away victory against Sevilla, who had initially taken the lead through Fofana, a former AC Milan player.

Ligue 1 Matches

Another Paris-based club is winning in Ligue 1. While Luis Enrique's team aims to climb the standings after a difficult start, their neighbors, Paris FC, defeated Strasbourg 2-1 to move into second place, two points behind leaders Monaco. Kebbal and Pagis scored the winning goals, rendering Mbow's late own goal irrelevant. Coppola, recently called up to the senior national team, and Koleosho, part of Baldini's U21 squad, started and played the entire match. Angers and Le Mans also secured victories against Troyes (2-0) and Lorient (2-1) respectively. Toulouse beat Le Havre 3-2. Lyon completed a commanding 4-0 victory over Rennes, with Nuamah scoring twice, joined by Athekame and Tolisso. Paulo Fonseca's side now shares second place in the standings with Paris FC on 11 points.
