Her best throw of 74.35 meters was achieved on her first attempt, and she was unable to improve upon it. The gold medal goes to Finland's Silja Kosonen, who was unbeatable with a throw of 76.28 meters. The bronze medal was won by Norway's Beatrice Nedberge Llano with a throw of 72.88 meters.

'Suspected muscular strain of the long adductor of the left thigh.' This is the initial diagnosis for Marcell Jacobs' injury during the 100-meter final at the European Championships in Birmingham, as communicated by the federal medical officer Andrea Billi, following an ultrasound scan conducted today. 'The athlete has begun physiotherapy to help reabsorb and drain the hematoma,' continued Dr. Billi.
