Espanyol striker Roberto Fernández's release clause has increased. This change follows his recent debut for the Spanish senior national team.

Fernández, 24, earned his first call-up to Spain after scoring six goals in seven La Liga matches this season. He made his debut for 'La Roja' on Saturday evening.

Playing the full 90 minutes, Fernández featured in Spain's 3-1 Nations League victory against Czechia.

His appearance for the national team also marked a significant development for his club, Espanyol.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Fernández's Espanyol contract included a stipulation for his release clause to rise upon his senior international debut. The clause was previously set at €25 million and has now climbed to €30 million.
